MEEKVILLAGE is a little nestling-place, just at the border of Wilderness. Its habitants, the Meeks, carefully cultivate their gardens and are proud that ice lily blooms only there. At the end of Meekvillage, ancient signboards warn the Meeks not to go in Wilderness: mysterious stories circulate about this strange forest. Eskimo lives in the last house of Meekvillage and his garden is separated from Wilderness only by a fence. One day he notices a hole in the fence…

ESKIMO

Dweller of the village’s last house. His garden is his home, and he loves to shape the green shrubs in fantastic forms. Like other Meeks, he too had never been outside of Meekvillage, nor has desire for that. However, in his heart he is a real explorer. He is curious, openhearted, brave, imaginative, and never gives up.
GREEN

Eskimo’s sweet housemate and his smallest friend. She too is interested in plants, but only if they are edible. About those she is passionate.

CASHMERE

Eskimo’s wise and caring old neighbour, who has been living in Meekvillage longer than anyone else. She records every important event in the Meekvillage Chronicles, that nobody ever reads (unless it is necessary).
DANDY

Friendly and merry dweller of Hathall. He is master of hatmaking (and many other things), generous, and really harum-scarum.

ZEPPELIN

Famous singer, who is maybe slightly vain. Every year she goes on tour, therefore she is highly informed about the outside world, and always ready to share her knowledge.
WYATT

Dutiful, headstrong president of the Tuesday Garden Club. He is distrustful, and in Meekvillage he does not want anything that is disordered, imprecise, or unpredictable.

MOONBEAM

Tenderhearted, concerned, and clumsy secretary of the Tuesday Garden Club. She loves what Wyatt loves, and also to watch the starry sky.
PAPRIKA & SAFFRON

Twins, who live with their enormous family in Hazelhaven, where forgetfulness is a family feature. Paprika easily gets angry and always prepares for the worst, while the peaceful Saffron hopes for the best.

PHOENIX

Mysterious soul, who goes on her own way, far from the others and with little regard to them. She is smart, insolent, lazy, and very confident.
VULCANOTAURUS MEX

An unrestrained, ravenous, supposedly heavy and certainly scary, white-furred, sharp-clawed creature, who is ready for anything.
